*Danny serves as the Associate Director for one of his favorite shows, the Tony Award-winning A Christmas Carol, playing this holiday season at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco.

SEPTEMBER 2021

*Danny cannot be more excited to be back in a rehearsal room again to direct The Spitfire Grill at the Arizona Broadway Theatre.

 

DECEMBER 2019

*Danny is crazy honored to be directing the world premiere of a new theatrical event, TRANSFORMATION at Jazz at Lincoln Center, scored by Ted Nash, curated by and starring Glenn Close, and featuring Wayne Brady, Amy Irving, Christian Slater, John Cameron Mitchell, Justin Vivian Bond, and Adrianne Lenox. Three performances only, January 30th - February 1st. Don't miss this one!

*Danny will return to direct the 3rd Annual SDC Foundation Awards, honoring Kenny Leon, Jeff and Rick Kuperman, Taibi Magar, Marcela Lorca, and Lisa Peterson.

OCTOBER 2019

*After more than four years of readings and workshops, tens of thousands of new pages, and six wild weeks of previews, Scotland, PA opens at the Roundabout Theatre Company! It has been an extraordinary experience working on this exciting new musical from its humble beginnings. And hey, look! We're a NY Times Critics Pick! Running now until December 8th. Anybody hungry?

SEPTEMBER 2019

*Danny gets married to the exceptional and talented Ken Urso. No big deal.

AUGUST 2019

*Rehearsals begin for the World Premiere of the new musical, Scotland, PA at the Roundabout Theatre Company, which will open Off-Broadway on October 23rd at the Laura Pels Theatre. Danny will assistant direct this show with his friend and mentor, Lonny Price.

JUNE 2019

*SNAP SNAP! Danny directs The Addams Family at the Arizona Broadway Theatre.

MAY 2019

*Danny assistant directs Man of La Mancha starring Kelsey Grammer at his home-away-from-home, the English National Opera!

NOVEMBER 2018

*Danny is honored to direct the 2nd Annual SDC Foundation Awards, honoring Raja Feather Kelly, Anne Kauffman, Susan Stroman, and Loretta Grecco, with appearances by Joel Grey, Oskar Eustis, and Taylor Mac.

*Danny heads to London to assistant direct a workshop of Beaches the Musical.

SEPTEMBER 2018

*Back to the Arizona Broadway Theatre to be at the helm of "the ship of dreams," directing Titanic the Musical.

JUNE 2018

*Danny is over the moon to be joining the teaching faculty at Broadway For All, a conservatory program dedicated to diversifying the American stage and screen.

MARCH 2018

*Danny returns to the Arizona Broadway Theatre, to direct The Bridges of Madison County!

DECEMBER 2017

*Danny starts work on Hal Prince: The Director's Life, a new documentary by Lonny Price, scheduled to appear on PBS in the fall of 2018!

*Sunset Boulevard opened on February 9th at the Palace Theatre to rapturous critical acclaim! After this remarkable experience, Danny is is off to London to have a real nice clambake at the English National Opera! 

*Danny is off to London with Team Price to direct Carousel starring Alfie Boe and Katherine Jenkins at the English National Opera! A strictly limited 5 week run, so if you are in London in April and May, get to the Coliseum!
